The Beautiful South are set to released the second part to their Greatest Hits album Carry On Up The Charts titled "Solid Bronze - Great Hits" on 12th November. The album entered the UK charts at number 10 in its first week. The album spent a further 4 weeks hovering around in the top 20.

Solid Bronze
The Greatest Hits Part 2 is to be released on 12th November of this year and will feature the forthcoming single from Heaton and Rotheray, "The Root Of All Evil". Also included will be hits from Blue Is The Colour, Quench and Painting It Red as well as Pretenders to the Throne and Dream A Little Dream both of which have never appeared on an album. The album is finished off with some of the hits from Carry On Up The Charts as well as a re-mixed version of The Mediterranean.

It was expected that the South will embark on a UK tour to promote this release throughout November and December, However, the band are now not going to tour until a replacement female singer has been found.
