Dave Hemingway performed live on BBC Radio Humberside on 3rd March 2002. He played 2 songs from his solo album Land Of Green Ginger. The tracks performed were Long Is The Road and One Drop of Love. There was also a short interview with the singer.

Dave Hemingway looks set to follow Paul Heaton's lead and release a solo album, titled "Land Of Green Ginger" the original working title of "Zoopanzee" was abandoned when a band started up with a similar name. The album will see Dave performing with various other artists from Hull.

Some recording took place during August at Dave Stewart's "The Church" studio in London but was canceled midway due to technical problems, Reports suggest that 17 tracks are to be recorded with some featuring Dave back behind the drum kit.

One of the tracks is rumored to be a duet with a former Stereo MC's backing singer whilst "Long is the road" sees Dave singing a soulful ballad accompanied by a piano.
