The Beautiful South, Or rather, Paul, Dave and Dave performed an acoustic set to around 300 people at the FEZ Club in Hull, It was the first appearance by the band in their home-town for some years.

The Beautiful South are to perform a "Guest Only" acoustic concert for fans in Hull to co-incide with the release of their forthcoming Great Hits album, Solid Bronze.

The gig is to be held at a secret location in Hull, and tickets are only available via a competition on local radio stations Viking FM and Magic 1161.

The band have also been doing secret gigs around the country, venues have included Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin. The performaces have been acoustic, with Paul, Dave Rotheray and Dave Hemingway making up the band.
