Painting it Red was released in the UK on the 9th October 2000 and entered
the UK Charts at #2 in it's first week, Even after a bad start to the new release
following the withdrawl from the shelfs of the standard version. But following this good
start for the band the next 3 weeks saw the album drop to 12, 20 and 34.
The standard 19 Track version was removed from shops accross the country as it was discovered the wrong disc had been put out, and the CD contained just 17 tracks like the promo. This error was later corrected and the 19 track disc is now back available.
The albumhas been released as a standard 19 track CD, But there will also be a 50,000 copy limited edition 20 Track Double CD available. The additional track on the "Limited Album" is called White Teeth.
The first single from the new album, "Closer Than Most", was released 25th September. However the single failed to have an impact on the charts, only managing to hit number 22. A second single, so far unnamed, is planned for 4th December. Rumour is that "Just Checkin" will be the next single to be released.
