28th June 1999

The Table has been released by the Beautiful South as the 4th single from the #1 album Quench. A new version sang with the London Community Gospel Choir hit the shops today.

After it's first week The Table was at a lowly 47th in the UK charts. And by the second week things were even worse, A drop to 67. This is the second worst chart position by a Beautiful South Single, Second to Let Love Speak Up Itself which peaked at 51 in February of 91.

divider.gif (1816 bytes)

Now rumors are circulating that it will after all be "The Table" which will be the next single to be released from the hit album "Quench". It seems the band are debating weather to go with this catchy tune or "The Lure Of The Sea".

Rumors suggest the next single to be released by The Beautiful South will be "The Lure Of The Sea". Although many fans would probably rather see "The Table" or another catchy tune released this song, with the lead vocals provided by Dave Hemingway, will surely do well.

divider.gif (1816 bytes)

Could It Be The Lure Of The Sea? Or is it to be The Table?

The next Beautiful South single is due for release on the 7th June 1999 but so far is still un-named, Rumors suggest either "The Table" or "The Lure Of The Sea" with the former most likely.
